Since the nationwide lockdown on 27 March 2020, our commitment to giving back has been unwavering. Beyond our core business operations, we have made it a priority to extend our support to those who are most in need. This effort goes beyond our workspaces right around the world, as our Directors have not only contributed from the company’s profits but have also taken it upon themselves to give back in their individual capacities alongside the consultants at VirtualResource. It’s not just about making a financial impact; it’s about making a difference where it counts the most. Our focus has been on supporting charities with a wide range of essentials, including food, clothing, blankets, shoes, books, and educational materials. These contributions are a testament to our belief that true success is measured not only by financial gains but by the positive impact we can have on the lives of those less fortunate. We remain dedicated to this cause, ensuring that our efforts continue to uplift and provide hope to those facing challenging circumstances.

On a weekly basis, our commitment to providing essential sustenance to those we support goes beyond mere words—it’s a tangible reality. We make it a point to ensure that the individuals and families who rely on us have access to a continuous supply of fresh and nourishing bread, a variety of fruits, and an assortment of vegetables. 

Furthermore, recognizing the importance of protein and sustenance for balanced nutrition, we also provide occasional meaty bones, a crucial ingredient for the soup kitchens that are at the heart of many communities in the informal settlements we serve. These soup kitchens play an integral role in addressing hunger and nourishing those who might otherwise go without. Our goal is to provide not only immediate relief but also to contribute to the overall well-being and dignity of the people we are privileged to support. VirtualResource has since taken the initiative to establish gardens that are specifically designed to be self-sustaining sources of fresh produce for our local soup kitchens.

In addition to the community support we provide, VirtualResource sends food to schools and Early Childhood Development (ECD) centers in the townships. A child cannot learn on an empty stomach, and often this is the only meal a child will receive for the whole day. We have personally made up and delivered food parcels, as well as nappies, formula, hygiene products and masks to thousands of people in need. 

We continue to feed 20 000 people a month.
